See Israel like Never Before

When UCLA Hillel asked Delson to do a special exhibition, he travelled to Israel and spent over 35 hours in a helicopter with doors off, flying from 500-5000 feet from the Golan to the Negev.

While my solo shows have centered on aerial abstract imagery, perspective, and perception, I determined that this show should be devoted to an artistic, aerial exploration of Israel. My large-scale, limited edition work allows viewers to immerse themselves in the image, the perspective, and even perhaps feel the sensation, with both feet on the ground.

Opening reception Thursday, September 26th, 7-9 pm. RSVP required. uclahillel.org/fallart2019 Exhibition through December 22.

Flight Patterns (solo show) in Santa Fe, NM

July 6-20, 2018 -  Victory Contemporary Gallery in Santa Fe presented Donn Delson's new series, Flight Patterns, a solo show featuring his large scale "doors off" helicopter aerial images.

...Flight Patterns explores the natural elements: water, soil, and flora – with minimal intervention. These interventions come in the form of tilled flower fields, as in the work entitled Magic Carpet, which features a beautiful flower field with gradients of wild pink, green and magenta. Or Keyline, which features an aqueduct that weaves and winds according to the architect’s desire. All of these elements are abstracted into a kind of beautiful obscurity that allows for reflection and inward contemplation.
