Points of View

Donn Delson's Points of View collection currently featured in a solo show at Axiom Contemporary in Santa Monica.

Shot from "doors off" helicopters at altitudes of 1500-10,000 feet, Delson's large scale aerials tease the eye, often enigmatic, inviting the viewer to enter the image, feel the dizzying sense of height, and experience the unique perspective. More than sixteen images will be on display.

“… playing with meta-narratives, the treachery of images and representation; the word is not the thing – the map is not the territory." ~Oliver Kupper, Editor-in-Chief, AUTRE Magazine

Flight Patterns (solo show) in Santa Fe, NM

July 6-20, 2018 -  Victory Contemporary Gallery in Santa Fe presented Donn Delson's new series, Flight Patterns, a solo show featuring his large scale "doors off" helicopter aerial images.

...Flight Patterns explores the natural elements: water, soil, and flora – with minimal intervention. These interventions come in the form of tilled flower fields, as in the work entitled Magic Carpet, which features a beautiful flower field with gradients of wild pink, green and magenta. Or Keyline, which features an aqueduct that weaves and winds according to the architect’s desire. All of these elements are abstracted into a kind of beautiful obscurity that allows for reflection and inward contemplation.
